The link below is a good refresher of some of the teaching techniques which support our teaching and learning in school. The idea promoted in the link is supported by Doug Lemov’s principles in his book ‘Practice Perfect’. Here Lemov advocates that we should not only practise what we need to improve but also practise what we are good at to get even better. He also promotes the idea of practising 20% of the skills which drive 80% of the results, with the goal being excellence, not mere proficiency.
